Information for all those willing to attend the conference.
Access to the conference is free: there is no admission fee. For organizational reasons, however, the keynote speech at dinner time in palazzo Panciatichi is reserved for the panelists only. The organizers cannot cover any expenses (travel, meals, stay) other than for the official speakers as reported on the program.
Florence can be easily reached by airplane, at the Amerigo Vespucci Airport. Another comfortable destination is the Galileo Galilei Airport in Pisa (only 50 minutes by direct train from Florence). For all information concerning trains to Florence, please check the website of the Italian Railways at www.trenitalia.com.
The conference venue is located in the heart of Florence,
in the Rectorate of the University of Florence in Piazza San Marco, 4.
It is only a 10 minutes walk from the Florence Central Railway Station
in Santa Maria Novella and from the Airport Shuttle stop, situated in
front of the station. Several buses connect the railway station with Piazza
San Marco as well (lines 1, 7, 10, 17, 25, 32, 33). The bus fare is 1
�.

Those willing to attend the conference works may find the

one - and other solutions can be found on many tourist websites. Keep
in mind,
however, that Florence is a very popular tourist site and that finding
a location is not always easy. Please do not refer to the conference organizers
