Call for Papers - Global Nuclear Order Working Group

Proposals are invited for the Second Annual Conference of the BISAGlobal Nuclear Order Working Group:Global Challenges in a Nuclear Armed WorldTo be held on September 2, 2014 at the University of Bristol, UK
We welcome paper proposals on all topics relating to global nuclear order, but particularly from those seeking to place nuclear weapons within the broader context of international politics, and from those working in other disciples (such as History, Area Studies, International Relations, International Political Economy and Comparative Politics) where the presence and importance of nuclear weapons has been underexplored. In doing this, we hope to facilitate a fruitful interdisciplinary space for work willing to move beyond the traditional canon of nuclear analysis, and to place nuclear weapons issues within wider international security debates, practice and scholarship. Submissions from post-graduate students, nonacademics and those working in other disciplines are therefore particularly welcome.

If you do not have institutional funding but would like to participate, a small number of bursaries will be available to cover transportation costs. You should indicate this when you submit your abstract.
