CFR Invitation for 11/7 Academic Conference Call: “The Future of the Trans-Pacific Partnership”

On behalf of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), I invite you and your students to participate in the next session of the Fall 2012 CFR Academic Conference Call series on Wednesday, November 7, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. (ET). Bernard K. Gordon, professor emeritus of political science at the University of New Hampshire, will discuss the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
Bernard K. Gordon has been professor of political science at the University of New Hampshire since 1971, and professor emeritus since 1999. Dr. Gordon is the author of five books and a number of articles dealing with trade and foreign policy in East Asia. He has been a consultant to the National Security Council and the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and an expert witness before U.S. Senate and House committees. Dr. Gordon has held two Fulbright fellowships and one fellowship each from the Ford and Rockefeller Foundations. He was visiting research fellow at the University of Singapore, and in Japan, was research professor at Kyoto University’s Southeast Asia Center and visiting professor at Kobe University and the International University of Japan. Dr. Gordon is on the board of directors of the National Association of Scholars and for many years was a member of the Institute for Strategic Studies. He earned his PhD from the University of Chicago.
