The Centre of European and International Studies Research at the University
of Portsmouth, UK is offering PhD bursaries (3 years, fees and maintenance
grant). The deadline for applications is 20 February 09.
European studies research at the University of Portsmouth was rated best in
the UK in terms of “research power” in the latest 2008 “research assessment
exercise”. CEISR and the postgraduate centre provide a stimulating
intellectual environment for younger researchers.
Applicants with interests in transnational, comparative and/or multilateral
dimensions of 20th century European history, esp. the history of European
integration in the broadest sense, are esp. encouraged to apply.
